Companies like Accenture and Easi are recruting as never before. Accenture will grow it’s staff with 150 ict-staff and Easi is even more ambicious.

Sendxmpp is a perl script, written by Dirk-Jan C. Binnema that is able to send all kinds of text (ie. cron outputs and warnings on machines you administer) directly to your JID or even chatroom.

Everybody knows that assigning multiple IP’s to one NIC is possible. But do you know also how it is done in Linux?
Here’s the answer.
In Linux, information about the network interfaces is kept in 2 directories in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ and /etc/sysconfig/networking/.
The default NIC script is /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0.
